Privacy Policy

How we handle personal information — what we collect, who we give it to, and what you can ask us to do about it. This website sets no cookies.

Who this policy covers

This policy explains how La Vitesse Pty Ltd (ABN 15 685 182 996) of 388 George Street, Sydney NSW 2000 handles personal information. It applies to this website, to the enquiry forms we operate, and to our dealings with the finance brokers and credit representatives we supply enquiries to.

We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. If you have a question about anything in this policy, email [email protected].

What we collect

From people who submit a finance enquiry. Name, mobile number, email address, the type of finance sought, the amount, the purpose, an estimated timeframe, and anything the person writes in the notes field. Where the enquiry concerns a business, that may include the business name, its ABN and its GST registration status. Where it concerns a property or an asset, it may include the property or asset type and an approximate value.

From brokers and prospective clients. Name, business name, email address, phone number, and the content of enquiries, calls and correspondence.

From website visitors. Aggregate, non-identifying usage measurements only — see Cookies and analytics below.

We do not collect government identifiers, credit reports, bank statements or credit scores, and we do not ask for them. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

How we collect it

Almost always directly from the person concerned, through a form they complete after seeing one of our advertisements or pages. Before the form is submitted, it tells the person that their details will be passed to a licensed finance broker or credit representative who will contact them about the finance they asked about.

We confirm the mobile number by sending a one-time code that the person enters. That step confirms the number is real and in their hands at the time of the enquiry. It is a verification step, and it is separate from the disclosure described above.

We may also collect information from a broker or client in the course of providing services to them, and from publicly available sources when we research prospective clients.

Why we collect it, and what we do with it

To qualify an enquiry against the stated criteria, to verify the contact details, to pass the enquiry to a single broker, to administer and improve our services, to invoice and account for them, to respond to correspondence, and to meet our legal and record-keeping obligations.

We use automated scoring and a human review to decide whether an enquiry meets the criteria. No decision that produces a legal effect for the person is made by automated means alone.

We do not sell personal information as a standalone product, and we do not sell contact lists. An enquiry is supplied once, to one broker.

Who we disclose it to

We do not disclose personal information to anyone else without consent, and we do not supply the same enquiry to more than one broker.

Overseas disclosure

Some of the service providers we rely on — including our customer relationship management, email, SMS and advertising platforms, and our website hosting and content delivery provider — store or process data on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure the provider handles the information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Cookies and analytics

This website sets no cookies. It stores nothing in your browser, runs no advertising or social media tracking pixel, and does not build a profile of you. The only third-party script it loads is our hosting provider's analytics beacon, which counts page views and referring sites without cookies and without identifying individual visitors.

The advertising platforms we buy media on, and the systems that host our enquiry forms and our call booking page, operate their own cookies and measurement under their own privacy policies when you interact with them.

Direct marketing

We may contact finance brokers and prospective business clients about our services by email or phone. Every marketing email includes a way to opt out, and you can opt out at any time by emailing [email protected]. We will action the request promptly and without charge.

We do not send marketing to the people who submit finance enquiries. Their details go to the broker for the purpose they asked about.

Security and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure, including access controls on the systems that hold it and limiting access to the people who need it.

We keep enquiry and client information for as long as we need it for the purposes described above and to meet our legal, tax and record-keeping obligations, and we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it when it is no longer needed. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted over the internet.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading. Email [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable period, and we will tell you in writing if we refuse and why.

If you think we have mishandled your personal information, tell us at the same address and we will investigate and respond. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can take the complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always the one published on this page, and the date it was last changed is shown at the top.
